Double Small Target Drill (DST)
Q. What is Double Small Target Drill (DST)?
A. Double Small Target Drill (DST) is a training exercise, which a partner holds two small targets—such as focus mitts—at different heights and angles. The student practices delivering quick combinations of kicks and punches to these targets. The small size of the targets requires precise striking, which enhances focus and control. By repeatedly performing this drill, practitioners develop better reaction times, sharpen their technique, and learn to execute attacks efficiently.
